Where to eat in Terminal 2 at Narita Airport: the 4F restaurant floor, before security
Terminal 2 at Narita International Airport is large, and first-time visitors often wonder where to eat. The distinction that matters most is between what you can reach before security and what is only inside the restricted area.
Mendokoro Tsuruhan is in the restaurant and shop area on the 4th floor of Terminal 2 Main Building. That floor is landside, so it is open to departing passengers and to anyone seeing them off or meeting them.
The 4th floor: no need to clear security first
Restaurants inside the restricted area can only be reached after security and immigration. So if you want an unhurried meal before those steps, the 4th floor is the easier choice.
Before or after check-in works equally well. Drop your bags first, then come up, and you can eat without luggage.
Getting here from the station
About 146 m from Airport Terminal 2 Station on the JR and Keisei lines, entirely indoors. Arrive by train, eat, then go straight to check-in.
What suits the time of day
From 7:00 in the morning, a simple bowl of udon or soba is easy to manage. From midday, sets that pair noodles with a rice bowl make sense. In the evening some guests treat our dishes as small plates alongside a draught beer or a highball.
