Guided by the idea of bringing Japan’s noodle culture to the world, Mendokoro Tsuruhan Narita International Airport serves classic udon and soba built on carefully drawn dashi, plus regional noodle dishes from across Japan that change with the seasons. Our jubako sets – katsu, eel and tempura – are just as popular. On the 4th floor of Terminal 2 Main Building at Narita International Airport, it is an easy place to relax before a flight or to round off a trip. We prepare every bowl with the care that makes you want to come back.

A fragrant Kansai-style first dashi

A fragrant Kansai-style dashi drawn generously from soda-katsuo bonito flakes, mackerel flakes and sardine niboshi. The flavours layer up, yet the finish stays clean, bringing out the taste of the udon.

Silky on the way down, with a satisfying bite. Whether served hot or cold, the flavour of the ingredients comes through naturally.

More than noodles: jubako and donburi too

店内入口にスーツケースを預かってくださるスペースと番号札もあるので取り間違いなどがなく安心。

親子丼とミニうどんにとり天を付けました。

親子丼の鶏は炭火？で炙ったものが使われているので香ばしくて美味しい。
でも
中が少し温まりきっていませんでした。
火が通ってないということはなかったので焼いて作り置きなのかな？
こちらもお出汁がちゃんとしてて、醤油と砂糖で甘辛く仕上げました！！
という感じではなくて個人的にすごく好きです。

うどんのお出汁が優しいので、丼を先に食べ進めてしまうとうどんがものすごく薄く感じます。
でも汁物は後に残しておきたいし、食べる順番として悩ましいところです。

久しぶりの海外出張、日本に帰ってきたら、猛烈に「出汁」を体に取り込みたくなり、スーツケースを引きながら、四階のレストラン街へ直行。エスカレーターを上がるとすぐに、漆喰塗りの外壁がおしゃれな、うどん屋さんを発見！奥にも数件、蕎麦屋？みたいな雰囲気の店も見えたが、迷わず突撃！オーダーはシンプルに「きつねうどん」を注文。そーそー、これこれ！体中に染み渡る、鰹と昆布の出汁！！これを求めてたのよ！ なんとなく関西風の味付け？麺もコシがあり、あっという間に完食！空港で、このクオリティは、ちょっとビックリしました。出国前とか、クイックに食べれるし、オススメのお店です。隣の欧米系の方が食べてた、和牛うどん？なんか凄くゴージャスで気になるな〜

近くにあった蕎麦屋のそじ坊だと勘違いして、入店。 カウンター席に座って、メニューを手にして見たら、あれ？なんか違うわと思いながら、ごろごろ野菜のほうとうを注文しました。 ごろごろ野菜のほうとうは、名前どおり、野菜がたくさん入っていて、ヘルシーで美味しかったです。熱々で、体も暖まりました。 勘違いして入店しましたが、結果的に良かったです。

Can I use the restaurant after security (inside the restricted area)?

No. We are on the 4th floor of Terminal 2 Main Building at Narita International Airport, in thelandside area, before security. Visitors who are not flying, and those seeing someone off or meeting an arrival, are welcome. We cannot be reached once you have passed through security, so please drop in before check-in.

What are your opening hours?

7:00-20:30 (last orders 20:30). We are open for breakfast before an early flight and for a meal after you land.

Can I make a reservation?

Yes, we take reservations. Please call us on (0476-34-6130) to enquire. Groups and large parties are welcome.

How do I get here from Airport Terminal 2 Station?

About 146 m from Airport Terminal 2 Station on the JR and Keisei lines. Follow the signs into Terminal 2 Main Building and take the escalator or lift to the 4th floor. We are inside the restaurant and shop area on that floor.
