Before and after a farewell: where to spend the wait at Narita Airport
Seeing off family or friends, or waiting to meet them. Time at the airport stretches longer than expected. A place to sit properly helps.
Mendokoro Tsuruhan is on the 4th floor of Terminal 2 Main Building, before security. You do not need a boarding pass to come in.
The quiet moment after a departure
It takes a while to shift gears after waving someone off. A warm bowl of dashi suits that kind of time.
- Kitsune (fried tofu) 950 yen
- Ume-ka 1,180 yen
- Tororo grated yam 1,250 yen
While you wait for an arrival
Arrivals are hard to time, between immigration and baggage claim. Eating first makes the rest of the day easier once you meet.
We have 54 seats and accept reservations. Please ask about family or group visits. Baby chairs are available.
Or eat together once you have met
Some guests come in together, straight after a reunion. Beyond udon and soba we serve jubako sets such as eel and katsu.
- Katsu jubako 1,690 yen
- Tendon jubako 1,880 yen
