[Before Boarding] No queue, quick and easy at Narita Airport: piping-hot dashi udon from 7:00 am at Mendokoro Tsuruhan
Before boarding at Narita Airport, or between connections, are you looking for somewhere easy to reach where you can eat quickly and well?
If so, Mendokoro Tsuruhan Narita International Airport on the 4th floor of Terminal 2 Main Building is for you: easy to walk into without queuing, for a casual bowl of piping-hot dashi udon. Here is how to enjoy Tsuruhan even on a tight travel schedule.
1. Terminal 2 Main Building, 4F, landside: an easy stop even before boarding
On a flying day, check-in and security are always on your mind. Mendokoro Tsuruhan is on the 4th floor of Terminal 2 Main Building, in thelandside area, before security, about 146 m from Airport Terminal 2 Station on the JR and Keisei lines. It is a quick stop before or after check-in.
Our hours areFrom 7:00 am to 20:30 (L.O.). Dependable in the way only an airport restaurant can be: morning udon before an early flight, or a moment to catch your breath after you land.
2. For a quick bowl: bukkake or kamatama
When time is short, bukkake udon slips down easily and is our recommendation. Firm Sanuki udon and a fragrant Kansai-style dashi drawn from soda-katsuo bonito flakes, mackerel flakes and sardine niboshi settle right through you. Plum and grated radish bukkake, refreshing with its plum sharpness, and kamatama, which lets the noodle speak plainly, are both ideal between legs of a journey.
Chikuwa and egg tempura with seared kuroge wagyu bukkake (1,680 yen incl. tax): The fragrance of seared wagyu and tempura, a perfect match.
Seared kuroge wagyu with grated radish bukkake udon (1,580 yen incl. tax): Fragrantly seared kuroge wagyu with refreshing grated radish.
3. With time to spare, go properly with a donburi set
On a day with room before your flight, a generous set is just right.
Tenju set (1,980 yen incl. tax): A tenju with two prawns and vegetables, served with a half portion of udon (hot or cold), thoroughly satisfying.
There is also plenty of rice, such as the katsudon set and the katsu curry don set.
4. For guests from overseas and families with children
We have a multilingual menu, so guests from overseas can order with confidence. A children menu and high chairs are available, making it easy to visit while travelling as a family. We accept cash, credit cards, e-money and QR code payments.
5. In closing
Mendokoro Tsuruhan Narita International Airport: easy to walk into without queuing, with a gentle, piping-hot dashi udon to warm you through. Do stop by for a meal before boarding, or whenever hunger strikes.
